Background
For over 30 years Isabel Cruz has been a Chef and former proprietor of a number of West Coast restaurants. Isabel's California cuisine style of cooking blends her Latin roots with Asian influences focusing on fresh, sustainable and healthfully delicious food.
Isabel has had the pleasure of cooking and developing recipes for clients such as Deepak Chopra and his lovely family, Nikki de Phalle, Francis Crick, Unilever foods, Rubio ’s Coastal Grill, Kraft Foods etc.. Her debut cookbook (Isabel’s Cantina: Bold Latin Flavors from the New California Kitchen) was one of the New York Times' Top Cookbooks of the Year and was included in Food & Wine's Best Of, Volume 8. Her second cookbook, The Latin Table, was published in 2018.
